The Community Action Partnership for Central Illinois wants to
spread Christmas cheer to kids in their service area. Their Holiday
Hearts for Kids campaign in going on now through December 4, 2021.
The campaign will provide gifts for children in need through
donations collected by generous community members and organizations.
This is the second year for the campaign with this year including a
goal to serve 50 children. In 2020, CAPCIL was able to provide gifts
for 35 children. A variety of sponsorship levels are available. The
ability to make a monetary donation of your choice is also an
option.
For each $50 donated, one child will receive a gift ($50 value) this
Christmas. All gifts will be purchased by CAPCIL staff and
volunteers with the funds collected through donations.
The last two years have been extremely challenging for everyone
especially for low income families and those that experienced
financial hardships due to the pandemic.

“Holidays are a peak time for joy for so many of us, but for our low-income
families it often means unthinkable stress. The heartbreak of not being able to
provide your child a gift is completely overwhelming. Please give if you are in
the position to give.” Said CAPCIL Executive Director, Alison Rumler-Gomez.
