Betty Joan Downing, 87, formerly of Lincoln,
died Thursday, November 4, 2021, at Countryside Manor, Aviston.

Obituary
Betty Joan Downing, 87, formerly of
Lincoln, died Thursday, November 4, 2021, at
Countryside Manor, Aviston. She was born March 10,
1934 in Lincoln, to parents Thurston and Agnes (Wubben)
Redfairn. She married Morgan A. Downing November 23,
1952 in Lincoln. He preceded her in death on August
12, 2019.
Betty is survived by her children, Gaye Lee (Kevin)
Gallagher, Atlanta, Ga and Morgan Dean (Sharon)
Downing, New Baden. Also surviving are five
grandchildren and five great grandchildren and one
expected in December.
Also surviving is a sister Patricia Kelly of
Lincoln.
Preceding Betty in death was a daughter, Dee Ann
(Dale) Carlson, and two sisters, Beverly (Bill)
Sutton and Katy (Ron) Fink.
Mrs. Downing was a loving homemaker who enjoyed
spending time with her family.
Private family service will be observed.
