Obituary
Gary D. Joyce, 63, of Jacksonville,
passed away at his home on Wednesday, August 11,
2021.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday,
September 25,2021 at 11:00 a.m. at New Union
Cemetery in Lincoln with Mr. Maurice Stribling
officiating. Military Rites will be accorded by
American Legion Post # 263.
Gary Dean Joyce was born on May 8,1958 to Dean and
Ruth Ann (Sutton) Joyce.
He is survived by his father: Dean Joyce, two
sisters: Kay Kirk of Jacksonville, AR., Shirley
Joyce of Springfield. Several nieces and nephews
and great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his
mother.
Gary was a 1976 graduate of Lincoln Community High
School. He graduated with a degree in accounting
from Sangamon State University. He was a member of
the American Legion and VFW. He retired from the
state of Illinois.
He was an life long Cardinal fan.
Peasley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
