Doumbouya, 20, was acquired by Brooklyn in a trade with the
Detroit Pistons on Sept. 4.
The 2019 first-round draft pick (15th overall) played 13 minutes
in the Nets' preseason victory against the Los Angeles Lakers on
Sunday, totaling 11 points and four rebounds.
In 94 games (30 starts) across two seasons (2019-21) with the
Pistons, the 6-foot-8 Doumbouya averaged 5.6 points and 2.8
rebounds in 17.3 minutes per game.
The Nets also swung a deal with Indiana on Wednesday, acquiring
guard Edmond Sumner and a 2025 second-rounder from the Pacers in
exchange for the draft rights to guard Juan Pablo Vaulet.
Sumner, 25, has averaged 5.7 points and 1.5 rebounds in 108
games (29 starts) since the Pacers drafted him in the second
round in 2017.
Vaulet, 25, was selected in the second round in 2015 by
Charlotte, and his draft rights were traded to Brooklyn. He has
played professionally in his native Argentina, Spain and Greece.
