[October 18, 2021]  MOUNT PULASKI - Walter Lee Bryson, 81, passed away at 4:50 p.m. on Saturday, October 16, 2021 at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.

Visitation:  9:30 a.m. Thursday, October 21, 2021 at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Mount Pulaski

Service:  10:30 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home

Obituary

Walter Lee Bryson, 81, passed away at 4:50 p.m. on Saturday, October 16, 2021 at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.

Walter was born on October 20, 1939 in Lake Fork, son of John and Ethel Irene (Haynes) Bryson. He married Audrey Courtney on March 24, 1978 in Springfield. She preceded him in death on September 23, 1998. He then married Deloris Conaway Bryson on November 28, 2001 in Buffalo. She survives him.

Walter is also survived by his stepson: Gary Bryson of Mount Pulaski; his siblings: E. Irene (Raymond) Burger of Lincoln, Mary (Donald) Riedle of Mount Pulaski, Gene (Jane) Bryson of Mount Pulaski and Sue (Delmar) Stewart of Mount Pulaski.

 

Walter was preceded in death by his parents, wife: Audrey, three brothers, two sisters, and one stepson.

Walter was a member of Buffalo Christian Church and the Lake Fork Community Center. He proudly served his country in the United States Army.

Services for Walter will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, October 21, 2021 at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Mount Pulaski with Robert Twist officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial at Carlyle Cemetery will follow the service where full military rites will be accorded by the Mount Pulaski American Legion Post # 447.

Memorials may be made in Walter’s name to Buffalo Christian Church.
