Eugene F. Hickey Sr. 94 passed away
Saturday, October 2, 2021 at Vonderlieth Living
Center.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, October 9,
2021 at 11:00 a.m. in Holy Cross Cemetery Lincoln.
Military Detail will be provided by American Legion
Post #263.
“Gene” was born February 4, 1927 in Lincoln, to John
and Mabel (Matine) Hickey. Gene married Betty Jean
Kraus on November 9, 1950. After serving his country
in the United States Navy during WWII and The Korean
War, he was employed by Operating Engineers Local
965 as a crane operator for over 40 years. |
Gene is survived by his sister JoAnn
Bishop of Lincoln, children Penny Pilbean of
Arizona, Gene Jr (Marsha) and Regina Maas of
Elkhart, Gary and Joseph of Lincoln and many
grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great
grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife Betty and son
David.
