Obituary
Paul Lee Osborne, 98, of Lincoln
passed away peacefully surrounded by family on
October 4, 2021 at his home.
Paul was born November 22, 1922 in Searcy, Arkansas,
the son of Earnest and Alma Osborne. He was preceded
in death by his wife Marie (Zimmerman) Osborne, his
daughter, Sandra (Osborne) Hurst, granddaughter
Andrea Bowen, granddaughter Talona (Osborne) Marten,
his sister Genevieve Davis and sister Pat Gentry.
Paul was also preceded in death by his former wife
Dorothy Westbrook and his former wife Beatrice Cox.
Paul was a WWII veteran who served as a medic on the
beaches of Normandy the day following D-day and at
the Battle of the Bulge. He was a 5 bronze star
decorated war hero signifying his sacrifice, bravery
and honor while serving his country. He was a loving
father, grandfather, great grandfather and
great-great grandfather.
Paul is survived by his children: Bill (Sue) Osborne
of Saginaw, MI, Paula Osborne of Lincoln, Donnie
(Marianne) Osborne of Lincoln, Gary (Kathy) Osborne
of Lincoln, Vickie (James) Bowen of Lincoln;
grandchildren: Billy Osborne, Jr., Jerry McCain,
Bruce (Tammy) McCain, Mandy (Donnie) Francis, Jamie
Scheurer, PC (Shelly) Scheurer, Angie Scheurer,
Donnie (Dawn) Osborne, Josh (Elizabeth) Osborne,
(David Marten), Jeremy (Angie) Osborne, Carmen
(Shawn) Daubs, Ashley (Nathan) Buss and Jessica
(Nathan) Wentworth; numerous great-grandchildren and
great-great grandchildren; siblings: Jim (Donna)
Osborne, Kenneth Osborne, Linda Holmes.

A visitation will be held at
Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Homes in Lincoln,
Monday, October 11, 2021 from 9:00-10:00am with a
funeral service immediately to follow. A burial
service will follow at Camp Butler in Springfield.
Memorial donations may be made in Paul’s name to
Marine Corps League Semper Fidelis, Detachment 1336.
Paul’s family is so grateful for the generosity and
compassion the Marine Corps League showed by
providing equipment needed to assist Paul in his
final months.
