[October 20, 2021]  ELKHART - Elizabeth Ann Anderson, 88, of Elkhart, passed away on October 12, 2021, at Memorial Medical Center, Springfield.

Visitation:  4:00-7:00 p.m. Monday, October 18, 2021 at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral home in Lincoln

Service:  10:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 19, 2021 at Elkhart Christian Church

Obituary

Elizabeth Ann Anderson, 88, of Elkhart, passed away on October 12, 2021, at Memorial Medical Center, Springfield.

Ann was born on August 8, 1933, in Springfield, daughter of George Howard and Urla (Ralston) Haynes. Ann married William “Andy” Anderson on June 13, 1954, in Yokosuka, Japan at the U.S. Naval Base. Her husband Bill preceded her in death on April 5, 2010.

Surviving Ann are her children: Mark (Tara) Anderson of Elkhart, Jeff (Vicki) Anderson of Mt. Pulaski and Sally (Chuck) Goff of Woodhull; one brother, William (Ruth) Haynes of St. Louis, MO; twenty grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.

Ann was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Bill.

 

Ann was a member of Elkhart Christian Church, and she played the organ for over 50 years there. She was a member of the Elkhart American legion Auxiliary, Elkhart Needs and Goals, volunteered at Crisis Pregnancy Center, helped children learn to play music and helped them for contests, and she was the president of Elkhart Historical Society.

Service will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 19, 2021 at Elkhart Christian Church with Mike Drake officiating. Visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 p.m. Monday, October 18, 2021 at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral home in Lincoln. Burial will take place at Camp Butler National Cemetery in Springfield.

Memorials may be made in Ann’s name to Elkhart Christian Church or Crisis Pregnancy Center.
