[September 07, 2021]   The New Orleans Saints re-signed wide receiver Chris Hogan and quarterback Trevor Siemian on Monday after releasing them last week, NFL Network reported.

Hogan, 33, signed with the Saints in July after it was announced that star wideout Michael Thomas underwent ankle surgery and was likely to miss the start of the season.

Hogan played in five games with the New York Jets last season, making 14 catches for 118 yards. He has 216 career catches for 2,795 yards and 18 touchdowns in 100 games (39 starts) with four teams.

Siemian, 29, was signed from the Tennessee Titans' practice squad last November after an injury to Drew Brees. He stayed on the active roster for the next month before being released and re-signed to the practice squad.

He did not play in a game last season.

Siemian is 13-12 in 25 starts with the Denver Broncos (2015-17) and Jets (2019). He has completed 59.2 percent of his passes for 5,689 yards with 30 touchdowns and 24 interceptions.
