On
Saturday, David and Gail Sasse of Gail's Pumpkin Patch
harvested this giant pumpkin weighing more than 500
pounds. It was one of TWO harvested, with the other one
coming in at just over 480 pounds. The couple was
assisted with the harvest by Henry Bartimus of Clinton.
Bartimus has been growing giant pumpkins for the past
several years and last year won the giant pumpkin
contest with a 1,600 pound pumpkin.
The Sasse's will be taking this pumpkin to the contest
this coming Saturday.
