							Obituary  
							 
							Blanche E. Aper, 95, passed away on 
							September 24, 2021, at the Hopedale Nursing Home in 
							Hopedale.
 Blanche was born on November 8, 1925; daughter of 
							Harm and Hilda (Kaesebier) Klokkenga. Blanche 
							married Weldon Aper on June 23, 1944, in New York 
							City. Weldon preceded her in death on February 3, 
							1998.
 
 Surviving Blanche are her children: Lynn (Sandy) 
							Aper of Lincoln, Gene (Barb) Aper of Green Valley, 
							Penny (Kevin) McCoy of Delavan, and Amy Eads of 
							Emden; daughter-in-law: Tina Aper of Pocahontas; 
							thirteen grandchildren and twenty-one 
							great-grandchildren.
 
 Blanche was preceded in death by her parent’s, 
							husband Weldon, son: Russell Aper, son-in-law: Bruce 
							Eads, grandson: Kevin Aper, and two brothers: Marvin 
							and Glen Klokkenga.
 
 Blanche was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church, 
							American Legion Auxiliary for over 70 years, she 
							taught water aerobics in Hopedale until she was 90.

							Blanche loved bowling and quilting in 
							the church. 
							She was employed in the Illinois 
							Secretary of State Office for over 20 years.
 Services for Blanche will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, 
							September 29, 2021 at St. Peter Lutheran Church in 
							Emden, with Rev. John Schurter officiating. 
							Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Tuesday, 
							September 28, 2021 at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader 
							Funeral Home in Lincoln and also one hour prior to 
							the service at the church, (10:00-11:00 a.m.). 
							Burial at Hartsburg Union will follow the service.
 
 Memorials for Blanche may be made in Blanche’s name 
							to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or St. 
							Peter Lutheran Church in Emden.
