Obituary
Samuel M. “Sam” Keys Jr., 73, of
Lincoln passed away on Friday, September 17, 2021 in
his home.
The first son of Sam and Margaret Keys. Sam
graduated from LCHS in 1966, then graduated in 1970
from California Institute of Technology (CalTech).
He then formed a very successful computer usage
system, one of the first to come out of Los Angeles.
He was a well-known person in the computer field,
giving lectures in the US and Europe. Eventually he
decided to sell his business, and move toward a less
hectic life than his in LA. He was married and
divorced twice but had no children. Eventually, he
retired early and moved back to Lincoln.
He loved golf, politics, and technology. |
He was preceded in death by his
parents and grandparents and a number of aunts and
uncles.
Sam is survived by his brother Henson and a number
of cousins around central Illinois.
