Mount Pulaski dominates Decatur Eisenhower in 22-1 win

The
Hilltoppers didn’t let the cold weather on Saturday affect their hot
bats in a game versus Decatur Eisenhower.
The visiting Hilltoppers slugged 16 hits and scored 22 runs to defeat
the Panthers 22-1.
Jackson Fricke led the Mount Pulaski offense with three hits, including
a three-run home run in the top of the second inning that made the score
14-0 at the time.
Fricke finished the day 3-for-3 with three runs scored and four runs
batted in.
Evan Cooper, Gavin Smith, Clay Aylesworth and Colt Selinger also had
multi-hit games for Mount Pulaski.
Liam Smith, Landon Smith, Kolin Gibbs, Ethan Payne and Andrew Bailey
each had hits for Mount Pulaski.

Evan Cooper (2-0) was the winning pitcher for Mount Pulaski. Cooper
tossed the first inning, striking out the side on 14 pitches.
Liam Smith, Gavin Smith and Kolin Gibbs each pitched an inning for
Mount Pulaski.
The four Hilltoppers pitching staff combined to strike out 10
Panthers on just 76 pitches thrown.
Mount Pulaski improves their record to 5-0 on the season.
The Hilltoppers host Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond on Tuesday
afternoon at Veterans Park. Game time is scheduled for 4:30 p.m.
