The day the
Internet stood still!
On Wednesday
morning at 10am Lincoln Daily News went missing, along
with the internet service of a few thousand Central
Illinois customers. The cause: someone dug
through a main trunk fiber optic cable, bringing
communications to a halt. Along with LDN, there
would be no Netflix, email, or anything else internet
related. Alexa was mute. Service
returned before 2am on Friday making it some 40+ hours
of "so, what do we do now?"
So, there isn't a
regular Thursday edition of LDN, except for this
explanation screen. Because it was the day.... the
Internet stood still!
