The Hilltoppers were outhit 13-3 in a game that was over in four
innings.
Evan Cooper, Clay Aylesworth and Liam Smith had the only hits
for Mount Pulaski.
The Panthers offense included home runs in the first inning by
Landon Horning and Cole Noreuil.
Delavan would lead 7-0 after the first inning.
After two innings, the Panthers lead was 13-0.
Delavan scored two more runs in the third inning to increase the
lead to 15-0.
Mount Pulaski committed three errors to add to their woes as
Delavan left town with the 15-0 victory.
Landon Smith suffered the loss for Mount Pulaski. He gave up
seven runs on five hits in the first inning. Smith walked one
batter and struck out one while giving up two home runs.
Gavin Smith pitched two innings and gave up eight runs on eight
hits. He struck out four batters and allowed three walks.
Kolin Gibbs pitched a scoreless fourth inning for Mount Pulaski.
The Hilltoppers record is 6-2 on the season.
Mount Pulaski will play at Decatur MacArthur on Saturday at 10
a.m.
