The
excitement and anticipation on this child's
face exemplifies the general mood on
Saturday morning at Scully Park in Lincoln.
Children gathered there for the annual Open
Arms Christian Fellowship Easter Egg Hunt.
The hunt, which was more like a mad dash,
included more than 10,000 plastic eggs
strewn about three park sections. Kids were
divided by age, and one group at a time was
let go to run out and gather up as many eggs
as they could lay their hands on.
The eggs were filled with candies or prizes
and in each age group one special egg
entitled its bearer to a brand new bicycle.
