Obituary
Donald Edwin Follis, 84, of
Lincoln, passed away March 29, 2022, at his home.
Cremation rites have been accorded by Holland Barry
& Bennett Funeral Home. A memorial visitation will
be held from 5-7 p.m. Friday, April 8, 2022, at
Holland Barry & Bennett Funeral Home. Burial will
take place on Monday, April 11 at 11 a.m. in Elkhart
Cemetery.
Donald was born June 4, 1937, in Lincoln, IL., the
son of John Delmar Follis and Daisy (Williams). He
married Sharon Nelson on January 5, 1964. She
preceded him in death on June 28, 2010. He proudly
served his country in the United States Air Force.
Donald retired from the state of Illinois Department
of Corrections after many years of service. He
enjoyed playing pool, bowling, riding his
motorcycle, and spending time with his family,
especially his great grandchildren. |
Survivors include his children: Sherri Roos, Sean Follis, and
Shannon Presswood; grandchildren: Autumn Kapochius, Summer Roos, Kayla Follis,
Haley Presswood, Sean Follis Jr., Dalton Presswood, and Jordan Follis; great
grandchildren: Trinity, Brently, Serenity, Major, and several others; brother
James Follis.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Sharon, son Ronald Follis, and
siblings: Louise Dike, Jack Follis, William Follis, and Robert Follis.
Memorial donations may be made to Wounded Warriors and will be accepted at the
funeral home.
