WLB Basketball to host Hoops for Heroes April 23rd

[April 18, 2022]    The West Lincoln Broadwell boys and girls basketball teams will host Hoops for Heroes, playing against local First Responders in the WLB Gymnasium Saturday, April 23rd starting at 6:30 p.m.

This special event will serve as a fundraiser for the Central Illinois Veterans Commission for the Veteran Tiny Home projects.

The evening promises to be a ton of fun as the young athletes go up against the “vintage” members of several local First Responder units.

In addition, there are a number of special appearances scheduled. The WLB athletes are proud to share that the University of Illinois Marching Illini will be on hand with a special performance. The Lincoln Community High School Pom Squad will present a special half-time performance and Musical entertainment will be provided by the WLB students.

There will be a Half Court Shot competition with a prize awarded for the best.

There will also be an auction for a signed Chicago Bulls basketball and a 50/50 drawing. Admission will be free will donation accepted at the door.
