The
West Lincoln Broadwell girls volleyball team
was recognized at the April Logan County
Board meeting, with a resolution honoring
them for winning the Class 1A State
Championship. In March, the Lady Wolverines
brought home the first place trophy from the
2022 8th Grade Class 1A State Tournament in
Assumption. In the state championship match,
the Lady Wolverines took down undefeated
Cissna Park in two sets, 25-20 and 25-22.

Earlier
this week, United States Congressman Rodney
Davis was back in Logan County, making stops
in Atlanta and Lincoln.
Davis visited Central Illinois Ag in
Atlanta, where he spoke with CIA owner
Michael Schmidt and staff member Abby
Miller.
In Lincoln,
he paid a visit to the Veteran Tiny Home
project. |

Joining Davis at the home of
Scott Jackson was Joe Schaler of the Central
Illinois Veterans Commission, VAC Director
Dan Benedict and Illinois Senator Sally
Turner.
Davis also addressed the Civics and American
Government classes at Lincoln Community High
School, students of Mr. Jeff Cooper's class.
