Fundraiser for Jake Snyder April 30th

[April 24, 2022]    The Fraternal Order of Eagles Lincolnite Aerie 2708 will host a fundraiser on Saturday April 30th starting at 11 a.m. to benefit Jake Snyder. Snyder is the Worthy President of Aerie 2708 and in March was diagnosed with a brain Tumor.

He underwent surgery on March 22 and it was reported that the surgery went as well as could be expected. He will have months of recovery that include Chemotherapy and additional surgeries. Doctors are optimistic about his treatment plan but express that Jake will suffer possibly long-term paralysis.

Jake is an employee of Eaton, Inc. in Lincoln and does have medical insurance to help cover his treatment. His wife Mary Kay is an employee of Aerie 2708 as well as being an auxiliary member of the lodge. She is unable to work at this time.

Jake's illness and the loss of their incomes have put a strain on the household that the Eagles Lodge would like to help alleviate through this fundraiser.

The day will include a pulled pork meals served throughout the day starting at 11 a.m. There will be a bags tournament starting at noon and a Euchre tournament starting at 3 p.m. Live music will start at 7 p.m.

Throughout the day there will be raffles and silent auctions. Among the items being raffled will be a Yeti Cooler, and a Diamond Back AR-15 Rifle. There will also be silent auction, bake sale, and 50/50 drawing.

The community is encouraged to come out on April 30th and enjoy a day of activities while supporting a cause that is near and dear to the hearts of the Eagles Lodge members as well as friends and family of Jake Snyder.
