Skelton April Senior of the Month at Mount Pulaski High School

Grant Skelton of Mt. Pulaski, son of Todd Skelton and Ashley
and Chad Kern, has been named April-Senior-of-the-month at Mount
Pulaski High School. He was selected for this honor based on the
criteria of scholarship, leadership, service, and character.

Grant
has stayed actively involved in extracurricular activities during
his time at MPHS. He has participated in FCCLA for 4 years, Track
and Science Olympiad for 3 years, and Academic Challenge, E-Sports,
and Soccer for 1 year.
He has been on High Honor Roll all 4 years of high school and was
awarded the Pre-Calculus student of the year award. Grant has also
been named as an Illinois State Scholar and is a member for the
Liftoff Scholarship program.
Outside of school Grant has worked at Gro Alliance and worked German
Fest for St. Thomas Aquinas.
Grant plans to attend Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville
and plans to study Medical Chemistry.

The Senior-of-the-Month program is sponsored by Conaway Handyman
Service and Downing, Przykopanski, Clements, & May Insurance Agency, Inc.. They
are also in the running for the $500 Senior-of-the-Year award sponsored by INB.
