Tri-county 4-H district announces
scholarship recipients

Local 4-H members were recently awarded
scholarships in recognition of their outstanding accomplishments in
4-H, in their schools, and in their communities.

Haven Grace Henry, daughter of M. Todd and Bethany Henry of Lincoln,
is a 3-year member of the Wide-a-Wake 4-H Club. Haven was awarded a
Logan County 4-H Foundation Scholarship for her high school academic
achievements, 4-H participation, and demonstrated leadership and
citizenship in her community.
Klayton Komnick, son of Jason and Melissa Komnick of Auburn, is a
9-year member of the West Side 4-H Club. Klayton was awarded the
2022 Sangamon County 4-H Foundation Memorial Scholarship for his
exemplary 4-H background, scholastic record, leadership abilities,
reference evaluations, and community involvement.

Sarah Starasta, daughter of Mike and Leslie Starasta of Lincoln, was
an 11-year member of the Cloverdale 4-H Club. Sarah was awarded the
Alice Jodlowski Memorial Logan County 4-H Foundation Scholarship for
her collegiate leadership, citizenship, community service, and
scholastic accomplishments.
“We are thankful for our local county 4-H foundations who join us in
recognizing outstanding 4-H members every year and supporting their
continuing studies,” said Youth Development Educator Carissa Davis.
