Obituary
Reatha D. Cox, 59, of Clinton, passed
away on Tuesday, August 9, 2022, at Carle BroMenn
Medical Center in Normal.
Graveside Services for Reatha will be held on
Monday, August 15, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at the
Woodlawn Cemetery in Clinton. Cremation Rites have
been accorded.
Reatha Diane Henderson was born on November 12,
1962, in Lincoln, the daughter of Richard Owen and
Agnes Nola Wickenhauser Henderson.
Reatha is survived by her daughters: Toni (John)
Plotke, Amanda (Miguel Cazares) Cox, and Breanna
(Gavin) Burton; her life companion, Dereck “Doug”
Cox; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren;
and her siblings: Pam Bannister, Kim (Charles)
Davenport, Bill Veff, Mike (Kelly) Henderson and
Katherine (Scott) Burns. |
She was preceded in death by her
mother and father, one granddaughter, and two
sisters: Carol Armstrong and Linda McBenge.
Reatha attended Clinton High School. She last worked
at the Hot Spot as a bartender. She loved anything
about John Wayne and elephants. She was a 10-year
breast cancer survivor.
Memorials may be made to the Susan G. Komen
Foundation for breast cancer.
Peasley Funeral Home in Lincoln is in charge of
arrangements.
