							Obituary 
							Cecelia A. Steffen, 100, of Lincoln, 
							passed away on Wednesday evening, August 17, 2022, 
							surrounded by her family at her home.  
							 
							Funeral Services for Cecelia will be held on Friday, 
							August 26, 2022, at Holy Family Catholic Church. A 
							Rosary Service will begin at 10:00 a.m., followed by 
							visitation from 10:15 a.m. until a Mass of Christian 
							Burial Service at 11:00 a.m. Burial will then be in 
							Holy Cross Cemetery in Lincoln.  
							 
							Cecelia A. Pokorski was born on May 18, 1922, in 
							Lincoln, the daughter of Victor C. and Anna T. 
							McMonagle Pokorski. She was first united in marriage 
							to Joseph Edward Burleson. He preceded her in death. 
							She later married Wilbur M. Steffen. He also 
							preceded her in death. 
							 
							She is survived by her daughters: 
							Rita Burleson and Diane (Michael) Edwards; five 
							grandchildren: Christopher (Katie) Cichorz, Alyssa 
							(David) Carter, Nathanial (Dawnette) Burleson, Brett 
							(Brittney) Edwards, and Megan (Steve) Jenness; and 
							eight great-grandchildren: Cassie, Abby, Brooklynn, 
							Grant, Drake, Griffin, Dreyton, and Vada.   | 
							
							 
                
                  
							She was preceded in death by two 
							brothers and three sisters.  
							 
							Cecelia graduated from the Lincoln Community High 
							School in 1940. She worked at the Remington 
							Munitions Plant in Illiopolis during WW II from 1943 
							to 1945. She later worked as a secretary for Lincoln 
							Plumbing and Heating and then as a homemaker. She is 
							a member of Holy Family Catholic Church.  
							 
							Memorials may be made to Carroll Catholic School or 
							Memorial Home Hospice.  
							 
							Peasley Funeral Home is assisting the family with 
							arrangements.
