Pleasant Plains led 15-10 after the first
quarter. Grace Davis and Alyson Murphy each sank threes in the
first quarter.
By halftime the Lady Toppers had cut the deficit to 30-23, with
Alexis Wade tossing in six points and Hailee Daigh adding five
points.
Mount Pulaski battled hard in the third quarter to cut the
deficit to 37-34.
Mount Pulaski was 9-for-13 from the free throw line in the
fourth quarter.
It was one of those games where the two teams were tied a few
times, but Mount Pulaski could not take over the lead.
Pleasant Plains won the game by a final of 54-49.
Alexis Wade led Mount Pulaski with 15 points. Wade also had 4
rebounds.
Hailee Daigh returned to the lineup from injury and she scored
14 points.
Alyson Murphy added 12 points and 4 steals.
Mount Pulaski’s record falls to 2-3 on the season.
The Lady Toppers will host Monticello tonight. The JV game is
scheduled to start at 5:30 p.m. and the Varsity will follow at
approximately 7 p.m.
