Obituary
Elise M. Hill, 59, of Atlanta, passed
away on Tuesday, November 22, 2022, at her
daughter’s home in Lincoln.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, November
28, 2022, at the Atlanta Christian Church at 11:00
a.m. with Mr. Maurice Stribling officiating.
Cremation Rites will follow. Burial will be at the
Atlanta Cemetery at a later date.
Visitation will be at the Quiram-Peasley Funeral
Home on Sunday, November 27, 2022, from 5:00 p.m. –
7:00 p.m. and on Monday at the church from 10:00
a.m. until the time of the funeral.
Elise was born October 9, 1963, in Bloomington, the
daughter of Karlheinz and Helen Ridgeway Schmidt.

She is survived by two daughters,
Amanda Thompson and Kristal (Chris) Alvarez, four
grandchildren: Mia, Hunter, Kai and Luna; her
mother, Helen Kelsey; three sisters: Cindy Veff, Sue
(Rob) Deike and Sheila Sipes; and two brothers:
Charles (Theresa) Funk and Chadwick Funk.
Her father preceded Elise in death; along with one
sister, Cheri Funk; and stepfather Dennis Kelsey.
Elise worked for the McLean County Circuit Clerk’s
office as the Supervisor of Accounting for 30 years.
She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren,
fishing, camping, gardening, and going to the beach.
Memorials may be made to an organization of the
donor’s choice.
Final arrangements are entrusted with Quiram-Peasley
Funeral Home of Atlanta.
