- Betty Jean Hite, 68, of Mount Pulaski, passed away
on November 30, 2022, at her home surrounded by her loved ones.

Obituary
Betty Jean Hite, 68, of Mount
Pulaski, passed away on November 30, 2022, at her
home surrounded by her loved ones.
Betty was born on July 14, 1954, in Taylorville, to
Chester R. and Kitty (Doan) Hite Jr. She was
preceded in death by her parents, and many dogs,
especially Jackson.
Betty is survived by her two grandchildren and four
great grandchildren as well as a dear cousin and a
host of close friends who she considered her family
and additional grandchildren.
Betty worked for the Secretary of State for over 30
years before retiring. After retirement, she worked
as a bus driver for the Mount Pulaski School
District for three and a half years, where she
enjoyed the kids and made many friends. |
Betty loved her friends who were like
family and took great pride in her 69 Camaro, her
dogs, and in Betty’s words, “the rest is none of your
business!”
Private family services will be held at a later
date.
Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home, Mount Pulaski,
is entrusted with arrangements.
