Mount Pulaski defeats Monticello 48-18
Alexis Wade leads the team with 20 points

The Lady Toppers hosted Monticello on Thursday night and thanks to
some hot shooting from the start, the ladies were able to get a
48-18 win on their home court.
Mount Pulaski was quick to take an 18-6 lead in the first quarter.
Hailee Daigh, Je’na Rentmeister and Alyson Murphy each sank threes
in the opening quarter. Alexis Wade started off her night with six
points in the first quarter.
With Grace Davis entering the scoring column with five points in the
second quarter and Wade tossing in another six points, the Lady
Toppers were able to stretch the lead to 32-12 at the half.
Wade scored another eight points in the third quarter and with Davis
hitting another three, the Mount Pulaski lead grew to 45-16.
Ella Bobell and Abby Jones completed the Lady Toppers scoring and
after a quick eight minutes the final score was set with Mount
Pulaski winning 48-18.
Alexis Wade led all scorers with 20 points. Wade also had 5 assists
and 5 steals.
Grace Davis made up a stat line that featured 8 points, 5 steals and
4 rebounds.
Hailee Daigh added 5 steals and 3 points.
Mount Pulaski evens their record at 3-3 on the season.
In the JV game, Mount Pulaski defeated Monticello 29-12. Kenzi
Chandler led the Lady Toppers with 9 points.
Mount Pulaski will host Midwest Central on Monday night. The JV will
start at 6 p.m. The Varsity will start at 7:30 p.m.
