Obituary
Rose Mary Menzel, 89, of Lincoln,
passed away at 4:15 a.m. on Tuesday, December 6,
2022, at Vonderlieth Living Center in Mount Pulaski
Funeral Services for Mrs. Menzel will be held on
Friday, December 9, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at the
Peasley Funeral Home in Lincoln. Mr. Maurice
Stribling will officiate. Burial will follow at
Harmony Cemetery in rural Beason.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 8,
2022, at Peasley Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00
p.m.
Rose Mary Teichmann was born September 20, 1933, in
Lincoln, the daughter of Oscar L. and Esther
Fletcher Teichmann. She was united in marriage with
William “Bill” H. Menzel on May 20, 1952. He
survives.
Rose Mary is also survived by two children: Steve
(Debbie) Menzel and Debra (Jack) Harrison, four
grandchildren: Matthew Menzel, Natalie (Shawn)
Perrone, Brian Menzel, and Caroline (Mick) Fleming;
ten great-grandchildren: Dreyden Pozsgai, Zachery
Menzel, Gage Hutchison, Gavin Hutchison, Emma Menzel,
Adriana Menzel, Pyper Menzel, Jackson Fleming,
Carter Fleming, and Addilyn Perrone; and one sister,
Frances Hoffman. |
She was preceded in death by three
sons: Randy, Mark and Brian.
Rose Mary retired from Lehn & Fink after 33 years of
employment. She was of the Methodist faith and a
member of the Beason Methodist Church. She found
great joy in daily ready of the scriptures. Her
family will remember that she was good to everybody
and their rock. Married to Bill for more than 70
years, he knows that she loved him more than life.
Memorials may be made to Alzheimer’s Association,
St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or an
organization of the donor’s choice.
Final arrangements are entrusted with Peasley
Funeral Home of Lincoln.
