The scoring was spread out among the starters
in the first quarter, with the team scoring 22 points. After
sinking five 3s in the first quarter, the Lady Toppers lead was
22-6 over LSA.
Six players split the scoring in the second quarter and just
like that Mount Pulaski was crushing LSA 46-11 at the half.
Same story in the third quarter: everybody shoots, everybody
scores. Mount Pulaski led 62-19 at the end of three quarters of
play.
Five more threes in the fourth quarter brought the game total to
15 and Mount Pulaski looked really good in the 83-25 win.
Mount Pulaski improved their record to 8-3.
Alyson Murphy led all scorers with 20 points. Je’Na Rentmeister
finished second in scoring with 15 points. Alexis Wade
contributed 13 points for Mount Pulaski.
In the JV game, the Lady Toppers picked up a 29-11 win.
Elayna Marten and Alyson Murphy led the team with 10 points
apiece.
Mount Pulaski plays today in the Holiday Express Tournament
Meridian High School.
