Lady Railers thump Titans 74-22

The Lincoln girls basketball team is showing no signs of slowing down. On Tuesday night the girls traveled to Chatham and gave the Titans a beating, winning 74-22.

The trio of Kloe Froebe, Becca Heitzig and Jenna Bowman, who are the top three scorers for Lincoln, did all the scoring in the first quarter for the Lady Railers. Froebe was hot out of the huddle scoring 13 points, while Heitzig tossed in six points and Bowman scored five. The ladies led the Titans 24-1 after the first quarter.

Froebe added 11 more points in the second quarter as the Lady Railers lead grew to 42-7 at the half.

Nine more points from Froebe in the third quarter brought her total to 33 in the game and with five other Lady Railers scoring, Lincoln was thumping their future Central State Eight friends 67-13.

The final score in this one was 74-22 as the Lady Railers improved to 14-0 on the season.

Kloe Froebe was the high scorer with 33 points. Becca Heitzig tossed in 12 points and Jenna Bowman hit double-figures with 11 points.

The Lincoln JV team wasted no time putting away the Titans as well. They won 63-29 over Chatham Glenwood. A trio of shooters led the way for Lincoln in the JV game.

Piper Whiteman led the team on this night with 16 points. Makinley Knapp added 14 points and Mia Clark tossed in 12 points.

The Lincoln JV team is now 9-0 on the season.

The Lady Railers will play in the Dixon-KSB Holiday Tournament next week. Lincoln is scheduled to play Jefferson on Tuesday, December 27th at 3 p.m. at the Reagan Middle School in Dixon.
