The recent Edward Jones diaper drive in Lincoln was a great success,
according to Christine Short, a local Edward Jones financial
advisor. The collected diapers were donated to Community Action
Partnership of Central Illinois (CAPCIL) Head Start Centers located
in Lincoln.

"I am in awe of the generosity this community
shows when a need presents itself," Short said. "Thank you to
everyone who made a donation during our recent drive. Your
thoughtfulness will make a significant difference for others in our
community."
This annual event has continued to collect more items than the year
before. This year holds the record for the most items collected with
over 7,373 units! This year the Lincoln Women’s Club also donated to
the drive. “Christine and her staff are amazing to work with and we
are thankful for this partnership.” said Agency Development
Director, Breann Titus
Thank you to everyone that donated. Your generosity makes a large
impact. “We all get to the point where there is an empty toilet
paper roll, even before the pandemic, and get a little nervous. For
families that need diapers, many of them see an empty changing
table. Here at CAPCIL and Head Start, our mission is to minimize
stress and support our clients as much as we can, and one way is
through a diaper drive.” said Head Start Director, Kristen Conklen.

for those in crisis and those who seek a life of lasting
independence.
