Obituary
James Fitzsimmons, 78, of Lincoln,
passed away on Sunday, December 18, 2022, at Copper
Creek Cottages.
James was born May 26, 1944, in Lincoln, the son of
Joseph and Marjorie (Maloy) Fitzsimmons. He married
Wanda Evans on November 6, 1975, in Lincoln.
James is survived by his wife, Wanda; stepdaughter,
Bobbie Afriyie; and his siblings, Diana (Richard)
Jacobs, Peggy Fitzpatrick, Patrick Fitzsimmons, Tim
Fitzsimmons, and Laurie Ballard.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
James helped with Harvest of Talents at the church.
Above all, he enjoyed being together with his wife.

A memorial service will be held at 11
a.m. on Thursday, January 5, 2023, at Lincoln
Christian Church. A visitation will take place one
hour prior from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Burial at Zion
Cemetery will be held at a later date, where full
military rites have been accorded.
Memorials may be made in James’ name to Lincoln
Christian Church or the Jimmy Huff Memorial at
Chester East Lincoln School.
Cremation rites have been entrusted to
Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral in Lincoln.
