Anett Oesterlein Named Colleague of the Year at Lincoln Memorial Hospital

Anett Oesterlein, a medical lab technician at Lincoln Memorial Hospital, is the nonprofit hospital’s Colleague of the Year.

Oesterlein was praised for her unrelenting focus on safety in the original colleague of the month nomination.

“Patient safety is 100 percent, hands down, the top priority for Anett in her work,” wrote the nominator. “She strictly follows policies for lab draws. She identifies her patient before she does any ‘sticking’ and labels her labs in front of the patient.”

The colleague of the year is selected from 11 individuals named colleague of the month from January through November of the year. Oesterlein was the June colleague of the month.
