Again it was the trio of Kloe Froebe, Becca
Heitzig and Jenna Bowman leading the team in double-digit
scoring. Froebe poured in 29 points in the evening contest while
Heitzig scored 16 points and Bowman finished with 13 points.
Lincoln sprinted out to an 18-7 lead in the first quarter
against the Vikings, a somewhat close lead for these Lady
Railers. Bowman and Froebe each scored five points in the
quarter to guide the team.
The Vikings inched closer in the second quarter and only trailed
31-20 at the half. Froebe and Heitzig led the team with four
points apiece in the rather low-scoring second quarter for
Lincoln.
Leave it to the ladies to pour it on in the third quarter so the
running clock can speed up the game. Froebe scored 15 of
Lincoln’s 30 points in the third quarter. Geriets (6), Bowman
(5) and Heitzig (4) completed the other 15 points and the Lady
Railers were on the fast-track to a win, with the lead now
61-26.
Froebe, Heitzig and Grace Schneider finished the offense in the
fourth quarter and the Lady Railers closed out their day in the
Dixon-KSB Holiday Classic with a 72-29 win over Rockford
Guilford.
Lincoln improved their record to 16-0 on the season.
