Bruins defeat Havana 59-22 to advance to 8th Grade Class 2A Regional

Pulaski (no. 1 seed) opened regional play Monday night in the Bob
Gasaway Gymnasium and the Bruins did not waste any time putting away
the Havana Ducks. With three Bruins scoring in double figures, the
final score was 59-22.
Mount Pulaski ran out to an 18-7 first quarter lead as Beau Tschantz led
the offense with seven points. Aaron Kuznik sank two threes and Eric
Cooper added four points for the Bruins and they were quickly up by
double-digits.
By halftime the Bruins were up 33-13 over the Ducks. The balanced
scoring attack in the second quarter was led by Franklin Wade’s six
points.
Wade led the Bruins with seven points in the third quarter and with the
team scoring 16 points, Mount Pulaski ran the lead up to 49-19.
Tucker Fitzpatrick’s five points in the fourth quarter paced the Bruins
to the 59-22 win.
Franklin Wade led the Bruins with 17 points. Beau Tschantz poured in 14
points and Aaron Kuznik scored 10 points for Mount Pulaski.

Mount Pulaski will play Tremont (no. 2 seed) Thursday night at 6:00
p.m. In case of bad weather, the game may be postponed until Monday,
February 7, 2022.
