On Saturday the Land of Lincoln CEO hosted Winter Fest at the
Lincoln Park District. The family event included three segments, one
for grown-ups, one for kids, and a third featuring food from Nut
Hatch Hill Barbecue.

The
event ran from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. and was the annual “group business”
fundraiser for the CEO. The money raised on Saturday will go toward
the development of the Class of 2022 CEO students individual
businesses. Those individual businesses will be showcased at the
annual CEO Trade Show in May.
The event began at the indoor tennis courts of the Park District
Recreation Center. At the entry, admission was being collected for
the youth in attendance. Adults entered at no charge.
The first half of the large room was dedicated to local vendors
there selling their merchandise or services.

Among those vendors was 2018 CEO alumnus Filipe Buenrostro with his booth Papos
Style, the same business he presented at his 2018 Trade Show.
Around that portion of the room, there was a wide variety of
products and services, all for sale to shopping parents and other adults while
the kids had a blast in the bounce houses, obstacle course and with body art
tables, and much more.
Each of the activities were being supervised by the CEO students.
In the ballroom, Jennifer Luckhart and her crew were busy filling orders for
their special smoked and barbecued meat dishes.
