Mount Pulaski Bruins win regional championship

Pulaski won the 2022 8th Grade Class 2A Regional Championship Monday
night over Tremont by a final score of 44-35.
The Bruins stormed out to a 14-4 first quarter lead after Franklin Wade
led the team with seven points and Eric Cooper connected on two
three-point shots.
By halftime the Bruins were on top 23-10.
Mount Pulaski continued to dominate the game and held a 33-25 lead as
the third quarter ended.
The Bruins had little to worry about in this game and they walk away
with the championship by a final score of 44-35.
Eric Cooper led Mount Pulaski with 22 points. Cooper sank three 3s and
was 7-for-9 from the free throw line. Franklin Wade tossed in 14 points
for the Bruins.
Mount Pulaski will play Decatur Robertson Wednesday, February 9, 2022 in
sectionals hosted by Tri-City. The sectional game in Buffalo will start
at 6:30 p.m.
