Obituary
Doris R. Werth, 89, of Lincoln,
passed away on Sunday, January 30, 2022, at her
home.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Werth will be held on
Thursday, February 10, 2022, at 10:30 a.m. at the
Peasley Funeral Home with Mr. Ron Otto officiating.
Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30
a.m. on Thursday, February 10, 2022, at the funeral
home.
Burial will be in the Richmond Grove Cemetery in
rural New Holland.
Doris Rosetta Aper was born on March 7, 1932, in
Lincoln, the daughter of John and Anna (Luken) Aper.
She was united in marriage to Marvin H. Werth on
July 15, 1949. He preceded her in death on July 13,
1985.
She is survived by her children: Kenneth (Mary Jo)
Werth, Rick Werth, and Shirley (Fred Koester)
Winterbauer; six grandchildren: Christopher Werth,
Tiffany Werth, Shaun (Sophia) Werth, Breeann
(Thomas) Raymond, Rhonda (Bo) O’Donoghue, and Jimmy
(Nikkie) Winterbauer; Six great-grandchildren, three
brothers: Melvin Aper, Norman (Patty) Aper, and Dale
(Linda) Aper.
She was preceded in death by her son: Gordon Werth,
grandson: Daniel Winterbauer, and great-grandson:
Tyler Werth.
She was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church and
Lincoln American Legion Auxiliary #263. Her hobbies
included ceramics, mowing her lawn, or just working
outside.
Memorials may be made to the Lincoln American Legion
Auxiliary #263 or charity of the donor’s choice.
Final arrangements are entrusted with Peasley
Funeral Home of Lincoln.
