Railers top East Peoria Raiders 48-35

[February 14, 2022] The
Lincoln Railers traveled to East Peoria Saturday night and dominated
the Raiders for four quarters. Lincoln placed three starters in
double-figures en route to the 48-35 win.
Lincoln was off and running in the first quarter, scoring a 16-4 lead
with Jake Bivin pouring in seven points. Elijah Pollice added four
points, Camden Nelson tossed in a three and Payton Cook scored a field
goal to account for the remaining offense.
Tyler Sasse nailed a three in the second quarter and after Pollice and
Cook scored, the Railers lead was 24-11 at the half.
Sasse and Cook paced the Railers in the third quarter with six points
apiece. Bivin’s two points completed the scoring in the quarter and
Lincoln’s lead was a solid 38-19.
Pollice led the Railers in the fourth quarter with seven points and
Lincoln cruised to the 48-35 victory.
Elijah Pollice led Lincoln with 13 points. Payton Cook added 12 points.
Jake Bivin had 11 points.
Lincoln improved to 23-6 on the season.
The Railers JV team improved to 21-2 on the season with a 56-31 win over
East Peoria.
Brady Miller hit six 3s to lead the Lincoln JV team with 18 points.
Ki’on Carson added 14 points in the win.
The Railers will play at Decatur MacArthur Tuesday night. The JV game
will start at 6 p.m. The Varsity game will start at 7:30 p.m.
