Every year the Fitzpatrick children, Aiden, Edward and Elizabeth Gail look forward to freezing temperatures, perhaps more than most children. The reason being that when the temperatures fall, their personal outdoor ice skating rink is open for play.

Mom Hannah said that the family began putting up the ice rink three years ago. She said the first year it was smaller than it is now, but the second year it was expanded to accommodate the boys' love of ice hockey.

Aiden and Edward are becoming quite good at the sport, while little Elizabeth Gail is just to the point of learning to skate and uses a special support to keep her on her feet.

Hannah says the kids love to play outside on the ice and often take a break for snack sitting outside, so they can get right back on the ice when they are finished eating.
