Salt Creek crash victim found deceased

On February 23, 2022, at approximately 10:35 a.m., the Logan County Sheriff's Office, the Lincoln Rural Fire Department, and officers from the Illinois Department of Natural Resources were conducting continued search and recovery operations. 

This was an ongoing recover mission regarding an accident involving a vehicle and missing occupant that had crashed into Salt Creek in rural Logan County on February 21, 2022. 

During the search and recovery operations, the body of the missing occupant was located, and the Logan County Coroner's office was notified. 

The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
