Ridgeway ends Lady Toppers amazing season

The
Mount Pulaski Lady Toppers basketball season ended Tuesday night
with a 48-43 loss to the Ridgeway Mustangs in the sectional
semifinals at Farmer City.
The two teams were neck and neck throughout three quarters of play.
The game was tied 14-14 as the first quarter came to an end. Alexis Wade
poured in seven points to lead Mount Pulaski in the first quarter.
Mount Pulaski had a 23-22 lead at halftime. Seven points from Hailee
Daigh led the Lady Toppers in the second quarter.
At the end of the third quarter, the two teams were tied at 33-33.
Wade scored eight points in the fourth quarter to lead Mount Pulaski,
but in the end it would be Mustangs on top by a final score of 48-43.
Alexis Wade led Mount Pulaski with 20 points. Hailee Daigh contributed
13 points for the Lady Toppers.
The Lady Toppers ended their terrific season with a 28-6 record.
