Mount Pulaski falls to Decatur St. Teresa 44-38

[January 09, 2022] The Hilltoppers hosted St. Teresa on Saturday afternoon and the Bulldogs came away with the 44-38 win. 

 

Aidan Schneider scored all seven of Mount Pulaski’s first quarter points, but the Bulldogs still held an 8-7 advantage over the Hilltoppers.

 

By halftime, the Bulldogs had extended the lead to 19-16. 

 

St. Teresa began to pull away in the third quarter, outscoring the Hilltoppers 15-6, good for a 34-22 lead. 

 

While Lane Murphy poured in nine fourth quarter points and Schneider tossed in five points, the Hilltoppers still took the 44-38 loss.

 

Aidan Schneider led all scorers with 16 points. Lane Murphy added 11 points for Mount Pulaski. 

 

In the JV game, St. Teresa defeated Mount Pulaski 69-25.

 

The Hilltoppers will play at Olympia on Tuesday night. The JV is scheduled to start at 6 p.m. The Varsity will tip-off at 7:30 p.m.
