Obituary
Curtis W. Young, 65, of Atlanta
passed away on Sunday, December 19, 2021 at his
home.
A Memorial Service for Mr. Young will be held on
Monday, January 10, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. at the Quiram
Peasley Funeral Home with Pastor Larry Crawford
officiating.
Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00
p.m. at the funeral home.
Cremation rites have been accorded.
Curtis W. Young was born on January 22, 1956 in
Canton, Illinois the son of Virgil W. and Ruby
Leathers Young. He was raised by his mother and
stepfather: Orville Adams, who he loved very much.
He is survived by his five children:
Adam W. Young of Lincoln, Kurt (April) Young of
Elkhart, Krystal (Steve Harold) Young of Atlanta,
Kenneth D. Young, Kaitlyn (Jeremy)Hendricks. Ten
grandchildren, four great grandchildren. |
He was preceded in death by his
parents, step father, one grandson.
Curtis worked for the State of Alaska for many
years. He also worked for the Eaton Corporation in
Lincoln.
He was a traveling man in his younger days who
wanted to see the world. Curtis never knew a
stranger and could make friends with just about
anyone he came in contact with. He had hoped to
return to Alaska one day.
