Obituary
Norma Edwards, 85, of Lincoln passed
away on Tuesday, January 11, 2022, at Abraham
Lincoln Memorial Hospital in Lincoln.
Norma was born on March 22, 1936 in Lincoln. The
daughter of Lyle and Helen (Trail) Brest. She
married Billy Edwards on June 22, 1958, in Lincoln.
Billy preceded her in death on May 23, 2018.
Norma is survived by her children, Michael (Debbie)
Edwards of Lincoln, Gail (John “Q-Ball”) O’Donoghue
of Lincoln, and William (Paula Hashman) Edwards of
Middletown; her brother, John Edwin (Debbie) Brest
of Arkansas; her sister, Faye Adams of Lincoln; nine
grandchildren, Nick Veronesi, Corinne White, Briann
Edwards, Kyle Edwards Kathryn Phillippe, Kara Estep,
Thomas O’Donoghue, Brandy Miller, and Matthew
Edwards; and her nine great-grandsons; and one
great-granddaughter. |
Norma was the owner and operator of
the OK Tavern in Lincoln and was a die-hard Cub Fan.
Norma was preceded in death by her parents; her
husband; her sister, Shirley Britt; and her
grandson, Blake Edwards.
Services for Norma will be held at 11:00 a.m. on
Saturday, January 15, 2022 at
Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln.
Visitation will take place two hours prior to the
services (9:00-11:00a.m.) also at the funeral home.
Burial will follow the services at Lucas Chapel
Cemetery in Lincoln.
Memorial donations may be made in Norma’s name to
Zion Lutheran Church in Lincoln.
