Obituary
Cathy Moore, 71, of Lincoln,
passed away January 8, 2022 at her daughter's
residence surrounded by family.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday,
January 13, 2022 at Holland Barry & Bennett Funeral
Home. Burial will follow in Steenbergen Cemetery,
Mt. Pulaski.
Cathy was born February 7, 1950. She married Alan
Moore. From that union 6 children were born: Penny
Stevens (Brian), Melissa Obzut (Raymond), Christa
Heidbreder (DJ), Alan Moore (Amy), Samuel Moore, and
Amanda Moore (Jason). 12 grandchildren and 10 great
granddaughters also survive.
She was preceded in death by her husband,
granddaughter Gladys Obzut, and great grandson James
Swensen.
Cathy retired from Lincoln Developmental Center. She
was also a teacher in Cairo, Egypt for several
years.
She enjoyed volunteering with the Salvation Army,
playing cards, and loved animals. She adored her
dogs. Family was important to Cathy and she spent
her life loving others and making them feel welcome.
Many of her children's friends called her Mom.
Memorial donations may be made to Rub's Rescue and
will be accepted at the funeral home.
