Obituary
Paul Hilgendorf, 104, of Lincoln
passed away on Sunday, January 16, 2022 at St.
Clara’s Manor in Lincoln.
Paul was born on June 23, 1917 in rural Emden. The
son of Otto and Helena (Story) Hilgendorf.
Paul is survived by his friend, Fred Heidbreder.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his brother,
Ben Hilgendorf; and his sister, Margery Oltmann.
Paul was a member of Zion Lutheran Church. Upon
graduation from high school, his father gave him 120
acres of farmland and four mules in which to farm
with. He was very mechanically inclined; he was
considered an expert tinkerer. Paul was also fond of
flying Piper Airplanes. |
A private graveside service will be
held at a later date in Union Station Cemetery in
Union.
Arrangements have been entrusted to
Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home, Lincoln.
