Obituary
Ron Ridgeway, 71, of Broadwell,
passed away on Monday, January 17, 2022 at Lincoln
Memorial Hospital in Lincoln.
Ron was born April 1, 1950 in Lincoln. The son of
Charles Edward and Ruth Annette (Langenbahn)
Ridgeway Sr. He married Hazel Shaw on March 29, 1974
in Riverton. She survives in Broadwell.
He is also survived by his children, Amanda (Brad)
Bishop of Middletown, Angela (Ben) Estes of Lincoln,
and Abbey (Shane) Freese of Lincoln; his
grandchildren, Ryan, Anthony, Payton, Hunter, and
Gracie; his sister, Judy (Simon) Aper of Broadwell.
Ron was preceded in death by his parents; his
brother, Charles Ridgeway Jr; and his granddaughter,
Hinley Freese.
Ron was a member of Broadwell
Christian Church. He enjoyed deer hunting, fishing,
and mushroom hunting. He loved watching the St.
Louis Cardinals and the Green Bay Packers. |
Services for Ron will be held at
10:00 a.m. on Friday, January 21, 2022 at
Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln.
Visitation will take place from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on
Thursday, January 20, 2022 also at the funeral home.
Casual dress is encouraged, please
wear jeans, camo, or a Cardinal’s shirt.
Burial will follow the services at
Kline Cemetery in Broadwell.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made
in Ron’s name to St. Jude Children’s Research
Hospital or Broadwell Christian Church.
