Mount Pulaski defeats Edinburg 61-52

[January 20, 2022] The
Hilltoppers hosted Edinburg on Tuesday night and thanks to a
20-point fourth quarter, Mount Pulaski picked up a 61-52 win.
The Hilltoppers trailed 20-15 after the first quarter. By halftime
Edinburg held a 34-29 lead over Mount Pulaski.
The two teams were tied 41-41 after the third quarter. An exceptional
night of shooting allowed the Hilltoppers not only to crawl back in the
game, but pull ahead in the fourth quarter and earn the 61-52 win.
The Hilltoppers scored eleven three-pointers in the game, with Aidan
Schneider hitting six of them. Schneider’s ten points in the fourth
quarter propelled the Hilltoppers to victory. Schneider finished with a
team-leading 22 points.
Clay Aylesworth, Lane Murphy and Evan Cooper each scored 12 points for
Mount Pulaski.
The
Hilltoppers improve to
11-6 on the season.
Mount Pulaski will host Delavan on Friday night. The JV game will start
at 6 p.m. The Varsity will tip-off at 7:30 p.m.
